Based on your research into the current status of e-Learning: What decisions do you expect organisations to address before they implement an e-Learning program?

Before an organisation implements e-learning they must first consider the following items:
- Firstly the cost of the course and how much e-learning they are willing to fit into their budget.
- Secondly, they must consider whether more technology infrastructure will be needed to coup with the demands of the course.
- Thirdly, they must address the element of support and provide enough support staff and induction into the course so that learners feel ready and able to participate fully in the course.
- They must decide on whether to build or buy the course that they are wanting. There may also be the option of adapting a pre-existing course to fit the needs of the organisation.

E-Learning Strategy: A framework for Success

According to De Vries (2005) The first thing that needs to be done when implementing e-learning in an organization is an e-learning strategy. This strategy must define the goals of the e-learning program and then logically explain how it will be possible to prove that these goals have been met at the end of the course.
